| The Staten Island Ferry is a fabulous

| a hare-brained idea: I suggested that we

| | of how little litter there was in the

| there, just to hop on and ride around and
| |
| | street, how few street people or hustlers
|
| see the island. Of course I didn't have a

| | there were, how there was no graffiti in
|
| bus map with me, didn't have any
| |
| | the subways, and how safe it felt to be
|
| literature about Staten Island, so didn't
| |
| | taking transit at all hours of the day.
